1948 Chevy Pickup
This is the 1948 Chevy Deluxe Cab pick up I built back in about 1993 or 94. It was my first real attempt at a street rod. The people I met after I finished to truck were some of the nicest people I've ever met, and helped convince me to continue with the street rodding life style. Once finished this truck saw some major miles going to shows in North Carolina (where the truck came from originally), Indianapolis and New York. Driven to every one.

The truck had a Mustang II front suspension and and 1970 Camaro rear end. The motor was a 400 samll block from a 1972 Caprice "land cruiser" I freshened the motor and did a little "tweeking" and it made good horsepower. A newer Mustang 5.0 was giving me the pipes and found out it wasn't an old farmers truck when I lost him in the mirror from the stop light. The color was a custom mix of Sikkens paint that we called "Cotton Candy Pearl". Yes it was pink, but under the right lighting it would turn white or red too. I would like to thank Jack Ogurek from Summit Hil Body & Fender for the help finalizing the bodywork and painting the truck. I would also like to thank Freddy Evans of Evans Autobody in Summit Hill for the help with the front and rear ends and some other mechanical items.

The interior was pirated from a 1984 Buick Rivera. The seats and steering column fit almost without any modifications. The wiring was a Ron Francis kit and the denter console was a home made butcher block unit that hid the power seat controls. The rest of the interior was finished with Rod Doors panels and a grey tweed material. Yes I did all of the interior and wiring on this one. The only thing I had help with was the butcher block console (I found out I can work with metal but not wood)
